NARI COTY Awards Eve of Excellence was Friday, February 20th at Belleair Country Club. It’s always a gala and fun event to attend. When we choose the projects we enter each year, we always ask our clients for the projects to join us. This year we entered 2 projects; a kitchen and accessible/adaptable bath remodel. The clients for whom we did this kitchen remodel did join us and a fun time was had. We were awarded a 2nd place for this project. Here is their story….
We met these clients while manning the NARI Home Show booth. They had high expectations; we talked about why they should use a NARI contractor.
These clients also had very specific needs and were detail oriented. The current kitchen was very impractical. The work space between the island and row of base cabinets was so tight that two people could not work there together, various cabinets hit one another when opening and there was very little usable storage space.
In addition to solving these problems, a form and poured support column had to be avoided to install the range hood, floor tile needed to be saved for budget reasons and the area of construction had to be separated from the rest of the house. They also wanted a sea inspired mural as the backsplash focal point.
We solved all problems, slayed all dragons and created a beautiful and functional kitchen.
